This downtown Seattle Senior session was so much fun. I was so excited to get these two cuties back in front of my camera. I’m always dying to try out new locations, and this downtown Seattle rooftop did not disappoint! There really is no limit to where you can have your Senior photos taken. I love that Riley and Skylar trusted me when I said we were going to have their session in a parking garage. I promised great city views from the top story and what we got was magic. I love having these end of the year best friend sessions!
This Rattlesnake Lake best friend Senior session was everything. I photographed both Madi and Sydney earlier in the year for their Senior Portraits. I was so excited to get them together for a Best Friend Session. Their parents have been friends since before they were born. These two grew up together and have remained besties through the years. It was so much fun to watch their friendship unfold in front of my camera. These two self proclaimed “city girls” sure do look the part frolicking around in nature. Some of these images are my favorite Senior photos to date. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom if you want to see each girl’s individual session from earlier this year. Madi & Syd, I just adore you two! xoxo
*I’m going to be offering Best Friend Sessions at a very special rate, exclusively to my 2018 Seniors this coming Spring.*
Ashley and Seth had the most romantic Monte Cristo Ballroom Wedding this past Spring. This wedding was extra special for me, Ashley is my cousin whom I love dearly. It has been such a pleasure watching her and Seth’s love unfold. Seth compliments Ashley’s outgoing personality and lets her shine, which I love. She has a laugh that is contagious, if you know her, you can hear it when looking at the photos. They were wed by Seth’s father who had many of us in tears with his thoughtful, heart felt words. Outside it rained and the wind blew, but inside it was warm and the room was so full of love. Congratulations Mr&Mrs Herzog, I can’t wait to watch you two grow. xoxo
I’m so excited to share this gorgeous Snoqualmie Pass engagement session. I was a bit worried we were pushing it for snow, but now looking back after this never ending winter, and dreary Spring, we had plenty of time! We even scored a really mild Spring day. The sun was shining, the mountains were pretty empty, it was perfect for our session. I don’t think these two stopped giggling during our time together. That’s my favorite, couples who like to have a good time and laugh! These two also get bonus points for their outfits, I was obsessed with everything they wore. I can’t wait to see what MacKenzie’s wedding dress looks like this July! She has some serious style:)
Carly and Jeff had the most beautiful Bohemian Styled Backyard Wedding in the Snoqualmie Valley. These two set their wedding date for 6.24.2017, but that quickly changed when they realized they wanted to get married right away. I’m so happy the way things fell into place for them, and thankful I was available for their new wedding date! Here are a few words from the Bride about their gorgeous Bohemian Styled backyard wedding.
We didn’t want a big wedding, but it was important to us that we were able to share the day with the people we love, and love usthe most. We wanted it to be intimate, like a big dinner party with great food and great drinks, and we wanted it outdoors because being outside is a big part of who we are. We decided to have the wedding at my (the brides) parents house in the Snoqualmie Valley where I grew up. Our wedding was the perfect blend of each of our individual backgrounds and personalities. For Jeff (army vet and director at nike in Portland) it was all about bringing in a little America!Hearty food, good music (the bride walked down the aisle to “all of my love by led zeppelin”) cigars and bourbon, bonfires and a three piece suit. For the bride, it was all about the flowers (or should I say greenery), bohemian style, long community dinner tables, signature cocktails, dancing, and bringing in eclectic details that would create an ambience and setting that perfectly represented who we are. Our wedding was a true labor of love. From the handmade macramé, to the place settings, so much time and effort went into seeking out every plate, linen, fork, vase, you name it.A favorite movie of my mom, sister and I’s is “Mama Mia”. We drew a lot of inspiration for the dinner and reception from that film. The only things we rented were card tables for dinner and the chairs, everything else we collected along the way. Nothingat our weddingmatched, but it all came together perfectly. !
Sit back and settle in folks, this is a long one that your not going to want to miss! Thank you Carly and Jeff for trusting me to document your incredible wedding day! I feel so lucky I was able to witness your lovexoxo
