Bohemian Styled Backyard Wedding

Carly and Jeff had the most beautiful Bohemian Styled Backyard Wedding in the Snoqualmie Valley. These two set their wedding date for 6.24.2017, but that quickly changed when they realized they wanted to get married right away. I’m so happy the way things fell into place for them, and thankful I was available for their new wedding date! Here are a few words from the Bride about their gorgeous Bohemian Styled backyard wedding.

We didn’t want a big wedding, but it was important to us that we were able to share the day with the people we love, and love us the most. We wanted it to be intimate, like a big dinner party with great food and great drinks, and we wanted it outdoors because being outside is a big part of who we are. We decided to have the wedding at my (the brides) parents house in the Snoqualmie Valley where I grew up. Our wedding was the perfect blend of each of our individual backgrounds and personalities. For Jeff (army vet and director at nike in Portland) it was all about bringing in a little America! Hearty food, good music (the bride walked down the aisle to “all of my love by led zeppelin”) cigars and bourbon, bonfires and a three piece suit. For the bride, it was all about the flowers (or should I say greenery), bohemian style, long community dinner tables, signature cocktails, dancing, and bringing in eclectic details that would create an ambience and setting that perfectly represented who we are. Our wedding was a true labor of love. From the handmade macramé, to the place settings, so much time and effort went into seeking out every plate, linen, fork, vase, you name it. A favorite movie of my mom, sister and I’s is “Mama Mia”. We drew a lot of inspiration for the dinner and reception from that film. The only things we rented were card tables for dinner and the chairs, everything else we collected along the way. Nothing at our wedding matched, but it all came together perfectly. !

Sit back and settle in folks, this is a long one that your not going to want to miss! Thank you Carly and Jeff for trusting me to document your incredible wedding day! I feel so lucky I was able to witness your lovexoxo

Fishermen’s Terminal Engagement Session

Fishermen's Terminal engagement photos, discovery park engagement photos, cassie pepper photography

All of this cold winter weather has me dreaming of sunny sessions like this Fishermen’s Terminal Engagement. Lucky for me, the sunshine will be coming soon enough. Karly and Casey’s Cabo San Lucas wedding is in 11 days! I can’t wait to be inspired by a new location and get to hang with these two. We had so much fun this past summer during their Seattle engagement session. We hit up some classic Seattle spots, starting at Fishermen’s Terminal in Ballard, Discovery Park, and finally soaking in those city views from Kerry Park. Scroll down to get a does of sunshine:)

Snoqualmie Anniversary Session

Snoqualmie Anniversary Session

What better way to celebrate your third Anniversary than a snow filled photo session at Snoqualmie Pass? We headed up to the Mountains in search of some snow and found we didn’t have to go far to find it. You may remember these two and their pup Zulu from their Anniversary session last year. These guys are near and dear to my heart and their sessions are always way too much fun. Here’s a little tip for sessions in the snow. Wear a hat at the beginning of your shoot, not only does this add variety and look adorable, but it protects your hair from instantly getting soaked by the snow. Also don’t be scared to incorporate something you may never wear in your everyday life. How adorable is Haley’s handmade, winter, flower crown? Such a beautiful delicate touch.

Fiesta Themed Wedding: Patty+Craig

backyard fiesta themed wedding. seattle backyard wedding

This Fiesta themed wedding was incredible! Patty and Craig had a gorgeous wedding at a local residence in Carnation, WA. The details of this wedding were so much fun, bringing this Fiesta to life. A Mariachi band from Mexico played as guests arrived, setting the tone for the evening. The bride had all of the table runners, center pieces, and the personalized maracas handcrafted in Mexico. The confetti the guests threw as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife was also brought in from Mexico, bringing so much tradition to this gorgeous Fiesta Wedding. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom, one of my all time favorite sunset sessions with the Bride&Groom. I always encourage my couples to take a step away as the sun goes down. You get to spend some quiet time together, and make some beautiful images! Golden hour images always tend to be mine and my couples favorite images from their wedding day. Congratulations Patty & Craig! XOXO-Cass
